These legends were honoured with a heritage award in 2010 by PRS for their excellent music and they have also had a plaque erected at Greenwich Dance’s, The Borough Hall on royal hill in their honour because of it being where they first performed as a group.
Most of their music and lyrics were created by the duo, Chris Difford and Glen Tilbrook, who are known as the heirs to Lennon and McCartney’s Throne. Even with the duo creating the music the groups sound comes together in harmony when they are all performing together.
The group has over 15 studio albums, 14 compilation albums, 4 live albums, 1 extended play, 48 singles and 34 music videos and their most popular albums include “Cradle to the Grave”, “The Knowledge” and “Food For Thought”. In November of 2022 Squeeze announced that any proceeds brought in by and songs from “Food For Thought” would be donated to food banks around America.
Squeeze have songs like “Tempted” which has over 56 Million views, “Up the Junction” going on 34 million views and “Cool For Cats” which also has over 20 million views.
