Some of the greatest names in Norteño music history, led by "El Rey de Mil Coronas," Lalo Mora, are back in 2025. Palomazo Norteño is one of the best Mexican Regional music concerts that you can be a part of, and let's just be honest about this: you never know if they're coming back around next year, at least not necessarily with the current lineup of Lalo Mora, Eliseo Robles, Rosendo Cantú and Raúl Hernández. It's coming to the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis on Sunday, June 15th.
These four men have cemented their places in the history of the genre. Each of them will sing an iconic song from their career as solo artists, or maybe like the case of former Tigre del Norte Raul Hernandez when they were part of a massively successful group. This show is just like watching your tios at the carne asada, which turned into karaoke if your uncles could actually sing! Click that get tickets button right now to be a part of this show.
It's always a treat when you get a chance to see legendary performers up on stage. However, sometimes these experiences are some-what bittersweet because you realize that the artist that you came to see is past his prime. Luckily, that's not the case here! It's not that Lalo Mora and the guys have a ton left in the tank, but they've aged accordingly! There's something about some of those heartfelt songs, like "Aguanta Corazon," that just hit harder at this point. Especially when Lalo Mora's up there joking with the crowd saying they shouldn't wear black, he's not dead yet! His heart's taken a beating at this point. Yet, the man's still sipping tequila in that red solo cup.
The show usually includes songs from each of the performers, as mentioned. Then, there are moments when all four of them are going to be singing together. At this point, though, the show's really off the cuff. It might run a lot longer than what you typically get a chance to see at the Murat Theatre. That's especially the case when a lot of tequila or whiskey is involved in the equation. This is not to promote having a cocktail here and there, but each of these performers is at a point in their lives when they don't really care what people think. That's not to say that they won't be putting on a good show. They'll just be doing it on their own terms.
If you didn't get the table reference, that means you've likely never been to one of these Palomazo Norteño shows. No worries, the thing is, the four members of the group usually sit around the table like your average cookout and sing. There's not a lot more production involved! That's not a knock on the performance at all; you know what you're here to see. Keep in mind that there will be no pit area available for this show, so the seats closest to the performers will be in the main orchestra section. That's a bit of a let-down, but it is what it is! Click that get tickets button now, regardless, to reserve your seats to see the OGs of Norteño music live.
