The tour’s hitting major cities like Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Toronto, New Haven, New York, Dallas, and more in the 23-date run. More importantly, it’s stopping right in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jon Batiste has been on fire lately. He's been nominated in a whopping six categories for the 2024 Grammy Awards. Talk about making waves! Album of the Year for World Music Radio, Record of the Year for "Worship," Song of the Year for "Butterfly" (also in the running for Best American Roots Performance), Best Jazz Performance for "Movement 18" (Heroes), and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for his collab with Lana Del Rey on "Candy Necklace."
His album “World Music Radio" arrived in August of this year. It featured appearances from Lil Wayne, Jon Bellion, JID, NewJeans, Native Soul, Kenny G, Leigh-Anne, and more. For an artist who fuses a rich blend of R&B, hip-hop, swing, jazz and pop together, Jon Batiste is one of the few who can actually pull it off.
"I'm into numbers, so: 20 theaters and 24 performances to bless the pivotal year 2024. For my first solo run I wanted to play in smaller venues and curate experiences that let me really feel the people while I play. Think of these 24 shows less as a tour and more as a series of 24 not to be missed experiences, each being one-of-a-kind," he told The Associated Press in an exclusive statement. "We are designing these performances to be catalysts to bring people together, raise awareness for things I care about and inspire change in this country, and the world."
