An Intimate Evening with Jagged Edge: 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak

Jagged Edge is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their sophomore album, J.E. Heartbreak, with a MASSIVE tour. The iconic R&B group has recently announced the dates for An Evening With Jagged Edge: 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak. The North American trek kicks off March 26 in Dallas, and makes some huge stops along the way, including the Murat Theatre on March 30. The quartet will visit major cities across the country, including Atlanta, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C., before wrapping up on April 20 in Brooklyn. 

New Music 

This super exciting announcement comes on the heels of their brand new single “Just Might Get It.” Released on 17 January, the song is a taster of what’s to come. Jagged Edge’s new album, All Original Parts Vol. 1 is scheduled for release this Valentine’s Day.

Speaking on their latest single, Jagged Edge’s Brian Casey says, “The beautiful thing about ‘Just Might Get It’ is how a single title can inspire entirely different perspectives. Brandon’s writing captures this perfectly. His take is telling the girl, ‘You keep asking for my time, and I’m giving it to you—now, what are you going to do with it? Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.’”

J.E. Heartbreak 

Jagged Edge dropped J.E. Heartbreak on 18 January 2000, via SoSo Def and Columbia Records, and the music world hasn’t been the same since!! This breakout album debuted at #8 on the coveted Billboard 200, and featured hit after hit. Primarily produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, the album included the smash hits “Promise,” “Let’s Get Married” and “He Can’t Love You.” The Dupri-helmed “Promise” was so popular that it topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for two weeks, and climbed into the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. This album was a massive success. By February 2001, J.E. Heartbreak was certified two-times platinum by the RIAA for selling more than a whopping two million copies. In fact, it remains their best-selling album to this day. Of the album’s singles, “He Can’t Love U” snagged a gold RIAA award for selling a staggering 500,000 copies in just two months.
