As a subsidiary of the popular Cirque du Soleil, which has been producing a wide array of live stage performances for Broadway, casinos, theme parks, resorts, cruise lines, and theatrical venues, Cirque Dreams: Holidaze, directed and choreographed by Kevin Wilson and Marcel Wilson, will showcase some of the world’s finest contemporary circus artists, dynamic choreography, and whimsical storytelling in a dazzling family holiday spectacular. The acclaimed extravaganza is set to dazzle audiences with soaring acrobatics, gravity-defying feats, aerialists flying overhead, contortionists, muscle men, jokesters, musicians, and much more in the longest-running Cirque holiday theatrical event – an imaginative, fun show for children and elders, and everyone in between!
Cirque Dreams: Holidaze came into existence in the brilliant mind of Broadway director, theatre producer, creative visionary, and award-winning author Neil Goldberg. Each scene is inspired by his childhood Christmas ornaments, different, with its own unique storyline: from the North Pole to angels on Holy Night, from toy soldiers to a Hanukkah scene where candles are balanced on someone’s head, from New Year’s Eve with contortionists inside a giant champagne glass to reindeer pulling a sleigh, turning into jump-rope athletes. The production also sports hundreds of spectacular costumes adorned with more than 10,000 Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, and beads – from candy canes to reindeer, from toy soldiers and penguins to Christmas cookies, fairies, and even Santa and Mrs. Claus.
