Derek Hough's epic career is an incredible story overflowing with determination and unmatched talent. At just 11 years old, the global sensation started learning dance, and just one year later, he relocated to the UK to carry on his studies, living and working with some of the best dancers and coaches all over the world at the Italia Conti Performing Arts School. And from there, Derek Hough gained an amazing grounding in dance, music, and theater that would eventually proper him to international stardom.
His amazing work includes television, movies, choreography, writing, and of course dance. In 2007, Derek Hough starred on the smash hit TV show Dancing with the Stars, where he showcased his talents around the planet. After spending an impressive nine years competing there, he set a record by taking home the first place trophy not once, not twice, but a whopping six times!! In 2017, he even teamed up with A-listers Neyo and Jennifer Lopez for four awesome seasons on the NBC hit series World of Dance as a judge. Not only has Derek Hough been a huge success on the silver screen, but he has also choreographed some of the biggest names in the competitive dance scene, including the likes of Charlie White and Meryl Davis, who went on to win the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
