The fact of the matter is that Straight No Chaser has the harmonising capability of what we would assume angels sound like, with 9 voices coming together to make your ears feel like they are in heaven and they make your body feel youthful. Straight No Chaser was formed in 1996 at the University of Indiana. They were on a thirty six hour dance marathon and since then have created a massive fan base for themselves. They have also have a long list of accomplishments that include 2 RIAA Gold Certified Albums with over 1.5million concert tickets sold and well over 1 million albums sold worldwide.
In 2008, 8 of the original members recorded a Christmas album “Holiday Spirits” which went on to become the number 1 selling album on platforms like iTunes and Amazon. And in 2009 they went on to win the Contemporary Acapella Recording award for best holiday album and they were nominated for best holiday song.
2011 brought them back to Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City for a 52- show summer residency with “Back to the shore: songs Through the decade and more”. They then released a follow up album to their “Six Pack” EP with a “Six Pack Vol. 2” which brought them so many views that they have also made a Vol. 3 in 2017.
Straight no Chaser is one of the most ACA-AWESOME acapella groups of all times. With them having a mix of vocals from Tenors like Jerome Collins, Walter Chase, Steve Morgan, Tyler Trepp and Mike Luginbill, to Baritones like Seggie Isho, Jasper Smith and Freedom Young who is also a Vocal Percussionist, and Luke Robinson who is their new Bass.
