Presented in association with Tina Turner, this jukebox musical follows the transformation of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. From humble beginnings in the rural hometown of Nutbush, Tennessee to a global sensation, this Broadway production uncovers the untold story of a brave woman who challenged the limitations of her age, gender and race.
Known globally as one of the best-selling artists of all time, Tina Turner has 12 Grammy Awards lining her trophy shelf, and her live performances have been appreciated by millions, with more concert tickets sold than any other solo performer in the history of music. Written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Katori Hall, directed by the internationally acclaimed Phyllida Lloyd, featuring an unforgettable cast and electrifying performances, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical plays tribute to the late icon’s much loved songs.

The cast is evenly led by Naomi Rodgers (“Frozen”) and Zurin Villanueva (“The Lion King,” “Mean Girls,” “Shuffle Along,” “The Book of Mormon”) who both share the part of Tina Turner.
Other main characters include: Roz White as Zelma Bullock (Tina’s mother), Ann Nesby as Gran Georgeanna (Tina’s grandmother), Lael Van Keuren as Rhonda (Tina’s friend and manager), Lillian Charles as Young Alline (Tina’s sister), Max Falls as Erwin Bach/ ensemble (Music Sales turned Tina’s romantic lover), Zachary Freier- Harrison as Roger Davies/ ensemble (Music Producer) and Parris Lewis as Alline/ Ikette (Tina’s sister and a backup singer).

History and Awards
The jukebox musical debuted its world premiere on 17 April 2018 at the Aldwych Theatre in London and was nominated for three Laurence Olivier Awards, including Best Musical. The Broadway production opened its curtains on 7 November 2019.
To date, TINA – The Tina Turner Musical has been nominated for 23 awards with 12 in the Tony Award category. The production has won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical (Adrienne Warren), 2 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Actress in a Musical (Adrienne Warren) and Outstanding Wig and Hair Design (Campbell Young Associates), as well as Honorees for Outer Critics Circle Awards including Outstanding New Broadway Musical, Outstanding Choreographer (Anthony Van Laast), Outstanding Actress in a Musical (Adrienne Warren), Outstanding Featured in a Musical (Daniel J.
